  1. So the bear has a credit card?

But seriously I did have a thought about how to add more depth to the game. Perhaps the damsels give a 1x special ability when they are rescued. This would give the player more things to consider when deciding who to rescue because a damsel who is worth less points may grant a temporary ability to rescue another damsel that wouldn’t normally be able to be rescued. That’s kind of a generic example but hopefully gives you the idea.

  2. Thanks for the comment! It sounds like you’re thinking about a “Save” trigger, in addition to the “Death” trigger I’ve already got in there. That’s a pretty good idea. Do you think I’d need a separate unique one for each Damsel, or could I get away with 8 or 10 that are repeated?

    Thanks again!

    • Yep using your terminology that would be a ‘save trigger’. I think you would be okay repeating events/1x abilities across your list of damsels but I guess it would depend on how big a list of save triggers you came up with. You could have a variety of triggers that are positive for you and negative for other players which could give the game more ‘take that’. One thing you might want to consider is having the better save triggers on the lower value damsels to add some tension in decision making.

Another thing I thought of is that this might be a way to utilize the ‘stupid hero’ aspect this theme. For instance a rescued damsel might have a save trigger that causes another hero to trip on his shoe laces or get lost in the woods which could mean that hero looses a turn or some other effect.

  3. Yeah, those are fantastic suggestions! Thanks! I’ll definitely try adding some of those into the next revision of the game.
